The Opportunity Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a forward-thinking and environmentally focused organisation in the appointment of a Plastic Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing operation at the forefront of sustainable processing, playing a key role in supporting the conversion of plastic waste into energy through a specialist pyrolysis process.
Working within a fast-paced industrial environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and consistent handling of plastic feedstock, directly contributing to plant performance and operational success.
The Role Reporting to the Production Team Leader and Plastics Manager, you will take ownership of the preparation, inspection and movement of plastic materials across site.
This is a hands-on role, ideally suited to someone with a proactive mindset, strong safety awareness and experience operating within an industrial or processing environment.
Key Responsibilities - Receive, unload and inspect incoming plastic feedstock deliveries
- Process deliveries using weighbridge systems and ensure accurate recording
- Manage storage and handling of plastic bales across site
- Feed materials into the process in line with operational requirements
- Operate forklift truck equipment safely and efficiently on a daily basis
- Support production targets by maintaining a consistent flow of material to the plant
- Communicate effectively with control room operators and wider operations teams
- Complete routine checks, inspections and safety documentation
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety and environmental procedures
What We're Looking For We are keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing or process environment
- A valid Forklift Truck Licence (in date and compliant)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- High levels of attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently
Desirable:
- Understanding of Permit to Work systems
- Basic maintenance knowledge (Level 1 or similar)
- Awareness of traffic management systems within industrial sites
