Our client, operating within the chemical manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing maintenance and plant reliability activities.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, compressors, valves and rotating machinery
  • Mechanical fault diagnosis and repair
  • Installation of new plant equipment
  • Compliance with strict health and safety procedures
  • Accurate documentation of maintenance work
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or time-served apprenticeship
  • Experience within chemical, petrochemical or regulated process industries
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proven fault-finding ability
  • Knowledge of permit-to-work systems
