We are currently recruiting a
Craft Electrical Team Leader to join the engineering function at our clients site. This is a key position, providing frontline leadership across manufacturing and workshop environments, with responsibility for both internal teams and specialist contractors.
The Role Reporting into the wider engineering leadership team, you will take ownership of the safe and effective delivery of daily electrical maintenance and engineering activities across site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating electrical craft teams and contractors within production and workshop areas
- Planning, prioritising and delivering daily work activities in line with operational requirements
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards
- Supporting the delivery of engineering services to meet plant and customer demands
- Responding to engineering, quality and safety issues, taking corrective action where required
- Maintaining accurate records of work activities using relevant systems and documentation
This role offers a strong blend of hands-on technical involvement and people leadership within a heavy engineering environment.
What We're Looking For To be considered, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical or relevant engineering discipline, or a recognised apprenticeship*
- Proven experience within maintenance or engineering roles, ideally in heavy industry or manufacturing
- The ability to adapt to new equipment, technology and working practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- A commitment to continuous learning, development and high safety standards
