As a Setter / Machine Operator Technician, you'll play a key role in running high-speed machinery, ensuring safe, efficient production and consistently high-quality output.

About the Role
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will support the full operation of thermoforming equipment — from change overs and setups to fault-finding and quality checks. You'll help maintain smooth production flow, keep quality standards on track, and ensure all activities align with BRC, Health & Safety and GMP requirements.
Your approach to accuracy, teamwork and continuous improvement will contribute directly to achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete machine setups, product changeovers and tooling adjustments to specification.
  • Diagnose and correct running faults quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Support material changes, packing, labelling and other manual production activities.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections, completing all paperwork accurately.
  • Ensure correct packing, labelling and product identification for every order.
  • Maintain accurate data within the company's systems.
  • Conduct machine clean-downs and ensure waste segregation in line with company processes.
  • Keep the working area clean, safe and compliant with site standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues to maintain workflow and cover periods of absence.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or machine operation environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and confidence to make decisions within defined parameters.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Able to follow instructions, use measuring equipment and operate computer systems.
  • A methodical, organised and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible, motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Good time management and a strong "right first time" mindset.
Personal Qualities
  • Reliable and proactive with a strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Keen eye for detail and pride in accuracy.
  • Motivated to learn and develop new skills.
