Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to bring your skills to a robust industrial environment?
Wolviston Management Services are supporting a long-standing client in the Teesside area, where materials are reprocessed into high-energy pellets for use in manufacturing. It's a fast-paced, industrial site.
 
What You'll Be Working With:
You'll be supporting a busy, hands-on maintenance team and working with critical plant equipment including:
  • Belt Conveyors
  • Mechanical Shredders
  • Drier Units
  • Drag Chains
  • NIR Optical Sorters
  • Pellet Mills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Planned Maintenance
    Carry out preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimum plant performance and reliability.
  • Reactive & Corrective Repairs
    Diagnose faults and execute efficient repairs to minimise downtime across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Identify recurring issues, propose improvement actions, and support plant modifications and upgrades.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    Work to strict site safety standards and contribute to a proactive safety-first culture.
  • Team Collaboration
    Support your maintenance colleagues and production teams to ensure seamless handovers and effective communication.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Apprenticeship qualified - NVQ Level 3 minimum in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Desirable qualifications - HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
  • Multiskilled mindset - While mechanical bias is essential, a working knowledge of electrical systems and industrial safety is advantageous.
  • Process industry experience - Background in steel, heavy manufacturing, aggregates, or similar industries is highly beneficial.
  • Strong diagnostics & fault-finding skills - Logical thinker with the ability to act decisively.
  • Team player - Reliable, communicative, and safety-conscious.
