The Service / Engineering Department plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's next chapter, and we're now seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer to join their team.
 
What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out onsite commissioning work (primarily overseas), as well as installation, service, repair, and upgrade of equipment manufactured and supplied by the client.
  • Providing technical and service support to customers and internal departments.
  • Supporting manufacturing activities, including machine commissioning and testing.
  • Contributing to engineering design for existing and new product developments, both hardware and software.
  • Identifying and implementing design improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
What We're Looking For
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, ideally with elements of control systems theory.
  • Strong experience in control system design, commissioning, and support, preferably gained in a machine-building environment.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, safety PLCs, HMIs, AC drives, servo drives, and industrial communication networks.
  • Working understanding of current safety and EMC legislation relating to electrical control systems.
  • Experience programming in CODESYS.
  • Familiarity with CE marking and machinery safety standards (BS EN 60204, 13849, 62061) desirable.
  • Competence using CAD software to produce schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, terminal plans, and assembly drawings.
  • Project management capability and experience leading tasks through to completion.
