Principal/Senior Mechanical Designer

We’re working with a specialist engineering organisation to recruit a Principal Mechanical Designer. The role will involve mechanical design delivery on major process industry projects across storage tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.  This is a contract position with a duration between 6 to 12 months.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Production and checking of mechanical GA and detail drawings
• Prepare MTOs and technical requisitions
• Use design software such as SmartPlant 3D or PDMS
• Contribute to project delivery

Requirements:

• HNC/HND or BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Significant experience in mechanical design within the energy sector
• Knowledge of industry codes and plant layout design
• Strong communication and organisation skills
