Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the search for a motivated Junior CAD Technician to join their growing design team based in Middlesbrough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience and a solid foundation in developing 2D drawings, who is now looking to take the next step in their career.
About the Role As a Junior CAD Technician, you will produce accurate 2D technical drawings and support the design process across a range of projects. Working closely with the design and production teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring drawings are correct, consistent, and ready for manufacture.
You’ll not only create drawings but also be involved in checking and verifying documentation before release to production, helping to maintain high quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities - Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop and update technical drawings in line with project requirements
- Check drawings prior to release, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Support senior designers and engineers with project work
- Maintain organised drawing files and documentation in line with company standards
- Liaise with the production team to ensure drawings meet manufacturing requirements
Candidate Profile Essential: - Previous experience using AutoCAD (2D)
- Basic knowledge of developing and amending technical drawings
- Good attention to detail with the ability to check and verify drawings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organised and able to work to deadlines
Desirable: - Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Understanding of design to production processes
