We’re working with a growing organisation designing and delivering advanced, large-scale material handling systems across sectors like manufacturing, ports, tunnelling, and heavy industries. You’ll be right at the heart of next-gen industrial engineering, where your ideas, experience, and ambition will be truly valued.

Locations: North East or North West England.

What’s in it for you?

  • Progression with purpose: if you’re ready to step into a Senior position, this is a clear and supported pathway. You’ll be working on high-value projects with future-focused technologies
  • Support from the ground up: from day one, you’ll benefit from hands-on mentoring, regular performance and development reviews, and a genuine commitment to helping you grow professionally
  • Team culture you can feel: it’s fast-paced, collaborative, and full of technically minded people who enjoy what they do. You’ll be joining a friendly team where ideas are shared, voices are heard, and job security is backed by growth
Your role will include:

  • Taking ownership of the electrical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring safety, scope and technical delivery are aligned
  • Acting as a point of contact with customers, supporting scope reviews, risk identification, and feedback loops
  • Reviewing and producing electrical design documents (including load schedules, cable calcs, termination drawings, SLDs)
  • Supporting the design, specification, and procurement of control panels, MCCs, PLC and field equipment
  • Overseeing subcontractor design delivery and contributing to H&S and CE/UKCA documentation
  • Carrying out project inspections and FATs
What you'll need:

  • A HNC (or degree) in Electrical or Controls Engineering
  • Experience delivering detailed electrical designs in industrial environments; bonus if you’ve worked with bulk materials handling systems
  • Familiarity with current wiring regulations, CE/UKCA compliance, and design risk assessments
  • A desire to take ownership and step confidently into a leadership-level position
Travel and team structure:

  • Project-dependent travel may be required: typically 1 to 4 weeks spread across the year
  • No direct line management responsibilities, but you’ll coordinate and oversee contractors on assignments
Salary and benefits:

Let’s talk privately about the excellent salary and full benefits package designed to match your experience and ambitions.
